The Miami Heat are looking at ways they can bring back the Big 3 this summer and that means putting together a roster of talent that won’t put as much of a strain on LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh as the roster last year did.
According to Sam Amico from Fox Sports Ohio, the Miami Heat are going to have to shell out big bucks if they want to get Chris Bosh back as he’s asking for as much as $18 million and may or may not have a 5-year, $90 million contract from the Heat.
Miami Heat big man Chris Bosh is seeking a contract that will pay him $90 million over five years, a source dialed in with Bosh’s thinking told FOX Sports Ohio on Wednesday.
Bosh is negotiating with the Heat, but no deal is done yet, the source said.
This is not a team friendly contract that we were hearing about earlier in the week and it’s something that may make signing free agents hard, as $90 million to someone like Bosh means that LeBron would no doubt ask for the max without a second though about it.
We’ll have to see if this report holds up, but if it’s true then it’s a bit peculiar that the Heat would get into contract details with Bosh first and not LeBron.
