The Miami Heat are hoping to bring back Chris Bosh this offseason but his max contract offer from the Houston Rockets is something that is holding up everything when it comes to free agency. Last night though it appeared we finally had a decision on what Bosh planned on doing but it seems reports that he has agreed to sign with the Rockets if LeBron leaves Miami are premature.
According to Mark Berman of Fox 26 Houston, the Rockets haven’t yet heard a decision on the max contract they offered to Chris Bosh one way or the other and it appears Bosh has not yet made up his mind.
The representative for free agent forward Chris Bosh told FOX26 Sports his client has not made any decisions about his future.
ESPN reported Wednesday night Bosh had decided he would sign with the Houston Rockets if LeBron James did not return to the Miami Heat.
“Chris has not made any decisions at this point,” said Henry Thomas, Bosh’s agent, in a text message to FOX26 Sports.
This is good news for Heat fans holding out hope that Bosh might be part of LeBron James returning but it may also be something that drives LeBron away as the earmarked salary space that has been alloted to re-signing Bosh might be keeping the Heat from signing valuable free agents for their pitch to LeBron.
