Report: LeBron James Agrees to Sign with Cleveland Cavaliers

Miami Heat fans just felt the air and gravity sucked out of South Beach, as the fist official report that LeBron James will be signing with the Cleveland Cavaliers has trickled in.

According to Chris Sheridan from Sheridan Hoops, the decision has been made by LeBron James and he will be returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers this summer.

The Decision has been made. LeBron James is returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers, a league source tells SheridanHoops.com.

James met with Miami Heat president Pat Riley today in Las Vegas to deliver the news. A contingent of other Heat officials were informed they were not welcome at the meeting, according to a source who spoke on condition of anonymity.

An official announcement will be made on www.lebronjames.com, as I first reported yesterday.

Take it for what it’s worth but this is the first report someone has gotten behind that firmly states LeBron is heading back to Cleveland. The report was shot down by just about every other NBA writer on the planet, which doesn’t help the mystery but it may start to lead us to the conclusion no Heat fan wants to hear.
