Chris Bosh Agrees to 5-year, $118M Contract to Re-sign with Miami Heat

The Miami Heat are having a dark day in the franchise’s history, but leave it up to Pat Riley to make things all better at hte drop of a hat. That hat is going to cost almost $120 million but it’s a hat that is going to be worn by Chris Bosh, who will be returning to the Miami Heat in 2014-15.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski from Yahoo! Sports, the Miami Heat may have lost out on LeBron James but they’re going to be getting Chris Bosh back on a max contract.

This is a shocker to those who have been watching the events of this week unfold as it was looking like LeBron James leaving would also signal the exit of Bosh to Houston. But despite a max offer from the Rockets, the Heat have scored a huge retention on a day that could have been the darkest in franchise history.

Losing LeBron still stings, but the Heat have brought back Bosh and are moving to re-sign Dwyane Wade too as the formation of a new Big 3 seems to be in play thanks to the quick thinking of Pat Riley.
