Miami Heat Talking With Luol Deng to Replace LeBron James

The Miami Heat started out the morning by losing LeBron James to the Cleveland Cavaliers but they have had a quick turnaround after what seems to have been an almost nonexistent mourning period.

After snagging Chris Bosh away from the Houston Rockets in absolutely stunning fashion, the Heat are moving to re-sign Dwyane Wade, Udonis Haslem and have reportedly met with Luol Deng to make a final pitch for him to sign in South Beach.

Deng makes perfect sense as the third member of the Big 3.1 as the pieces are in Miami to make the team competitive in 2014-15 and having Deng might solidfy them as threats to return to the Eastern Conference Finals.

The irony is that Miami will have to get through the Cleveland Cavaliers in order to make it to the NBA Finals and adding someone like Deng — who has had LeBron’s number in the past when the Heat and Bulls matched up against each other — seems to be the best move Miami can make.
