NBA Rumors: Michael Beasley Makes Sense For Los Angeles Lakers

The Miami Heat gave Michael Beasley a chance last season. Beasley flashed here and there but, ultimately, failed to make a major impact. Now Beasley is in limbo, unsure if the Heat will use one of there three remaining roster spots to give the scorer another contract.

Beasley has spent the summer training in Los Angeles with Kevin Durant, and Alex Kennedy of thinks that might be a good spot for Beasley to stay through the regular season.

Kennedy doesn’t seem to have any more information than the Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson did in his blog the other day, but Kennedy speculating that Beasley would be a good fit in LA is, at least, interesting.

The Lakers really only have two guys capable of playing the 3, Wesley Johnson and Nick Young. If plenty of teams have reached out to Beasley as is being reported, and one of them is the Lakers, he could see that as an opportunity to earn more playing time than he would in Miami.

For Beasley fans, it isn’t going to be as easy as Pat Riley simply making a phone call.
