Micky Arison is committed to the Miami Heat organization and he wants you all to feel the same way.
In an honest, open letter to fans, Arison issued the rallying call that good leaders often do, letting fans that have been dismayed by this strange, tumultuous off-season that there’s still much to look forward to.
Arison sent out the letter via Twitter this afternoon:”

It began with a detailed explanation of his and Pat Riley’s 19-year commitment to excellence in Miami…the 16-of-19 playoff appearances, multiple titles and how this franchise has accomplished so much “before celebrating our 30th Anniversary.”
He also wrote about some of Riley’s biggest moves, from acquiring Alonzo Mourning or Shaquille O’Neal, to drafting Dwyane Wade and, of course, the “Big 3″ era that recently ended. These moves, Arison stated, shows Miami has established itself “as an elite NBA franchise and have maintained a consistent level of on-court excellence, defining our legacy as a championship organization.” He also added that the Heat “are not done; not even close.”
Arison mentioned that, despite James’ departure to Cleveland, this team is ready to defend the Eastern Conference championship even as they are “also positioning ourselves for maximum flexibility and maneuverability in the future.
The Heat owner also listed all of this year’s roster, including the re-signed Wade, Udonis Haslem and Chris Bosh. He concluded the letter in a way that proves how Arison is a class-act as an owner, how he stands out so completely from a racist dirtbag like Clippers’ owner Donald Sterling or even the petulant Cavaliers’ owner Dan Gilbert.
“Like Dwyane said when he announced his return to the HEAT, I am a #HEATLifer. That’s how I want you to feel about your role as a Miami HEAT fan — that you are a #HEATLifer – “all in” with us for what is sure to be an exciting 2014-15 season and an incredibly bright future where we will look to add to our three NBA championships.
Now that’s how an owner should act.
