As the NBA offseason is progressing rather quickly, teams are signing their last batch of players heading into training camp.
Just recently, the Heat signed veteran guard, Shannon Brown; as well as rookies, Khem Birch, Tyler Johnson and Andre Dawkins to their training camp roster. Realistically, only one to two players listed above will make the final roster.
The Miami Heat are in desperate need for rebounding and athletes to replace LeBron James. A couple of names that have stuck out are Khem Birch, who averaged 10.2 rebounds for UNLV last year; and also, Shannon Brown, who is a superior athlete.
In the following slides, I will predict the Heat’s final 15-man roster.
Projected Rotation: Mario Chalmers, Norris Cole, Shabazz Napier
Going into free agency, the only player on the Heat with guaranteed money was Norris Cole. What a transformation. The Heat resigned Chalmers to a two-year deal and drafted Shabazz Napier, although it looked like it was more to lure LeBron back to South Beach.
Furthermore, the Heat should feel pretty safe as far as depth goes for the point guard position. They brought back an experienced game-manager in Chalmers and also drafted Napier, who has plenty of upside.
