With Dwyane Wade’s departure, Goran Dragic will get his opportunity to run the show for the Miami Heat.

Since his arrival at the trade deadline of 2015, Goran Dragic has essentially been on a probation license as it pertains to gaining control of running the Miami Heat offence. But now that Dwayne Wade has moved onto Chicago after 13 incredible seasons with the Heat, Dragic will now be able to control the Heat and the offence in the manner which appeals to him most: running and attacking.

It has not been easy transition for Dragic since arriving from the Phoenix Suns. He was always going to take some time adjusting to both a new system, and playing alongside another guard who will go down as one of the all-time greats.

Dragic has demonstrated at times in his play with the Heat that when given the opportunity, getting out in the open court and attacking when initiating the offense is how he excels.

And although he will be surrounded by a mix of both new and existing players, these pieces appear to be a good fit for the native Slovenian.
