With Dwight Howard reuniting with the Los Angeles Lakers, it shows that anything is truly possible. Here are a couple of former players we wouldn’t mind seeing rejoin the Miami Heat.

While everything is somewhat calm in the world of the Miami Heat, the news came down on Friday that one time Los Angeles Laker Dwight Howard will now be a two time Laker. While the reports came in a frenzy, it has been surmised that Howard has seen the error of his ways and perhaps even humbled a bit.

While the Lakers need what Howard is capable of bringing to the team and especially with Boogie Cousins going down with the ACL, the reconnection of the two estranged parties really does show how anything is possible. With all that in mind though, here are three former Miami Heat players that we wouldn’t mind seeing the team take another hard look at.

Mario Chalmers

Mario Chalmers went from being a second-round pick out of Kansas to being a two-time NBA Champion with the Miami Heat.  He was an integral part of those teams as well, being a guy capable of knocking down a big shot and more infamously being able to take the harsh criticism and barking from LeBron James.

With the Miami Heat in need of point guard depth and with Chalmers expressing a desire to still play in the league over the last few months, Heat faithful probably wouldn’t mind seeing him back in the place where it all started. He last played in the NBA during the 2017-18 season with the Memphis Grizzlies, while he played a period of last season with Virtus Bologna of the Lega Basket Serie A, the top level of Italian professional basketball. Rio has also suited up for Ice Cube’s Big3 league as well.
