Shaun Livingston

Although Shaun Livingston played for the Miami Heat during the 2009 season, he is more recently known as a key member of the Golden State Warriors present-day dynasty. That all came to an end this past offseason though as he was released by the team in their scramble to retool after the departure of Kevin Durant.

While Livingston isn’t currently on an NBA roster, he was the last of the three mentioned here to actually play a real live and meaningful NBA game. It goes without saying when thinking about what he could potentially offer the Miami Heat after observing his past few years with Golden State.

The three-time champion would not only bring championship experience and major size with him if he were an option, but he would also be the ultimate depth at either guard spot. Yes, it is well known that he isn’t that great of an outside shooter, but at his size along with his skill level and intelligence, he could still find a way to be an effective member of the team and rotation.

While neither of the above options may be the first to come to mind, the fact remains that the Miami Heat still could use an option for depth at the point guard position. After Goran Dragic went down with an injury last season, Justise Winslow was able to fill in quite well, but what if he wasn’t able? There should always be at least two other options to go to at that position for any team, as the point guard is such an important role and position.

Next. 3 players that could be the x-factor this season. dark

That is a scenario no team should ever put themselves in. As mentioned, if Dwight could go back to the Lakers, then anything is possible with any former player. That is why these are three former Miami Heat members we wouldn’t mind seeing the Miami Heat give another shot.
