Who should be the Heat’s starting point guard?

AUTHOR: | IN: Heat | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Heat are a very solid team when it comes to the 2, 3, and 4, but their point guard and center are always questionable. Is Mario Chalmers the right guy for the Heat? Should Norris Cole be starting? Maybe LeBron should just take over. There are so many options, but what is right for this team? Mario Chalmers has played pretty well this season. Definitely his best in Miami. The thing with Chalmers is that he needs some sort of motivation to play well. Last year, he was the spark off the bench and wanted to prove to everyone [...]

How can the Heat fix their problems down low?

AUTHOR: | IN: Heat | COMMENTS: None Yet

Throughout this whole season, the Heat have been getting pounded down low. Joel Anthony and Udonis Haslem have been getting boards, but they have not had much help. Eddy Curry hasn’t developed yet and everyone knows Bosh isn’t much of a tough guy. The Heat need to fix this problem immediately. The way I see it, there are probably 3 solutions to this problem. Option 1: Pick up Joel Przybilla I’m sure you’re saying to yourself right now, “Who?” Well, Przybilla is the only big guy on the market that is worth chasing. Pat Riley has already offered him a [...]

They Played for the Heat?

AUTHOR: | IN: Heat | COMMENTS: None Yet

Over the years, the Heat have had some big name players who either did nothing for the Heat, or left to achieve bigger things. Here is a list of a few of them. Brent Barry- Probably one of the best dunkers of all time, he played 18 games for the Heat in 1998. Michael Beasley- Drafted by the Heat 2nd overall, but had a disappointing start to his NBA career. Miami got rid of him to get the Big Three together. Daequan Cook- Miami didn’t draft him, but they traded for him even though he was a rookie. Won the [...]

How Dwyane Wade almost never became a Heat player

AUTHOR: | IN: Heat, Popular | COMMENTS: None Yet

Over the past few weeks we have heard crap like this, “the Miami Heat are a better team without Wade.” People on Twitter even attempted to make this hash-tag trending, #WithoutWade. I found this to be really interesting as I was reading it. I found 4 mock drafts and none of them had Dwyane Wade in the top 5 or going to Miami. Here is a look at what the Heat picked in each mock draft and where Dwyane Wade ended up:     SI.com, John Hollinger 5 C Chris Kaman C. Michigan 7’0″ 25521 The Heat will be more than happy [...]

Why have the Bucks beat the Heat twice?

AUTHOR: | IN: Heat | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Milwaukee Bucks are currently 8th in the Eastern Conference, yet they have beat the Miami Heat twice already this season. The Bucks aren’t a better team than the Heat, they just do the right thing to beat them. For now, it is just a bump in the road, but if Miami is a number one or two seed and Milwaukee stays in the top 8 of the Eastern Conference, it could end up being a problem. If the Heat want to beat them next time they play on February 13th, they need to figure out a way to stop [...]

Miami Heat (16-5) @ Milwaukee Bucks (9-11) 2/1/12 Preview

AUTHOR: | IN: Heat | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Miami Heat will take a five- game winning streak on the road to Milwaukee tonight. The Heat are winning right now, but are not necessarily playing at their best just yet. The Heat are coming off of a huge win against the New Orleans Hornets. The Heat got off to a sluggish start, but finished that game very strong. Meanwhile, the Bucks are looking to finish off a three game home stand with a perfect record. The Bucks have defeated the Los Angeles Lakers and Detroit Pistons so far on their home stand. They will be looking to finish [...]

The All-Miami Heat Team

AUTHOR: | IN: Heat | COMMENTS: None Yet

Over the past 23 years, the Miami Heat have had some really strong teams and some really bad teams. Players have come and gone, but there are certain players who made an impact. Here is the all-time all-star team. Starting 5: Point Guard: Tim Hardaway- Although they never won a championship with him, Hardaway was the Heat’s floor general for several years. Shooting Guard: Dwyane Wade- Finals MVP and NBA Champion. Does anything else need to be said? Small Forward: LeBron James- He has not won a championship, yet, but in one full season with the Heat, he helped lead [...]

How Dwyane Wade’s Injury Helped the Heat’s Team Chemistry

AUTHOR: | IN: Heat | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

Just a week ago, we were talking about how the Heat might be better without Dwyane Wade and how LeBron James and Chris Bosh were sufficient enough to win a championship. Well, if the last three games are taken into consideration, then critics were completely wrong. The Heat have shown that they may have the best chemistry they’ve ever had together. First off, Dwyane Wade looks healthy. He looks like the young Dwyane Wade we saw a couple of years ago and is shooting well. The rest definitely benefitted his body, but the injury increased his motivation. Wade has been [...]

Heat vs. Bulls Preview

AUTHOR: | IN: Heat | COMMENTS: None Yet

Tonight the Miami Heat will be taking on the Chicago Bulls for the first time since the Heat defeated the Bulls to win the Eastern Conference Championship last May. Both teams are basically the same as last year, except this year everyone on the Heat is healthy. Luol Deng is the only question mark and it will really hurt Chicago if he doesn’t play tonight. Normally, Deng would be asked to help cover LeBron, but if he isn’t healthy, it’ll all be up to Ronnie Brewer. The Bulls will not be able to contain Miami if they can’t contain LeBron. [...]
