New Hawks head coach Mike Budenholzer was a long-time assistant for the San Antonio Spurs, and said he wanted to model the Hawks in the mold of San Antonio. Whatever that means. But if it means they want to put Al Horford in more Tim Duncan-type positions, that’s okay with me.
Atlanta signed Paul Milsap, Louis Williams will be back healthy and first-round pick Dennis Schroeder impressed during summer league.
The team also added by subtraction by letting Josh Smith walk, which will make for better ball movement. Sorta like the Spurs?
A threat to the Heat? Ermm, not quite. Not unless someone has a Paul George-like emergence.
