Key factor in creating the Big 3 era

Speaking of the Big 3 era, it would have not been possible if not for Dwyane Wade. D-Wade was friends with both LeBron James and Chris Bosh. Although it was necessary for him to convince his very best bud in LeBron James to come to South Beach before the Bosh move was as relevant as it was, but nevertheless, he still helped to facilitate every bit of it.

On top of doing the footwork to make it all happen, Dwyane Wade not only sacrificed financially but as it has also been well documented, he sacrificed himself as well. In order to make that whole thing work the way it worked, he had to be willing to not only take a back seat as far as shots went on the court, but he had to also be willing to share some of the shot calling duties as being the face of the Miami Heat.

Regardless of how you view it, if not for Dwyane Wade’s selflessness and desire to do what was best for the Miami Heat, the Big 3 era and the success they were able to achieve during those times would have never been possible, and the history of the franchise would look very different indeed.
