Bigs

Bam Adebayo

The man who wrested the starting center spot from Hassan Whiteside will once again start there for the Miami Heat. Bam Adebayo is an exciting and talented young big who has thrived in Miami, and with another year under his belt has the potential to excel next season.

Adebayo has plans to work out this season with both Chris Bosh and Giannis Antetokounmpo, so he may have an array of new tricks and techniques the next time we see him on the court in a Heat uniform.

Kelly Olynyk

Kelly Olynyk will start in the front court alongside Adebayo next season. Head coach Erik Spoelstra prefers to work these two together as a tandem, so getting a whole season in together rather than piecemeal as the season goes on like in 2018-19 will be tremendous for the duo.

Meyers Leonard

New to the Miami Heat thanks to the trade that sent Hassan Whiteside to the Portland Trail Blazers, Meyers Leonard is a sharp-shooting big who can play either center or power forward. He shot a staggering 45 percent from 3-point range last season and shoots 38.9 percent from behind the arc in his career.

Leonard won’t give the Heat big minutes or likely even play all 82 games, but he’s an offensive weapon who can provide front court depth.
