If it’s a close game in the fourth quarter, give the ball to Goran Dragic.

Jimmy Butler has been the Miami Heat’s go-to guy in the fourth quarter, especially on defense.

But when this team needs a bucket in the fourth quarter, they’ve been turning to veteran point guard Goran Dragic, and he has answered the call. The 34-year old has arguably been Miami’s most consistent player in these playoffs, serving as the spark plug to any offensive lull.

He and Butler combined to score or assist on the Heat’s final 16 points in the fourth quarter. Dragic alone scored seven points on his own, once again displaying a winner’s mentality.

It’s not surprising at this point. This is just a continuation of what has been an absolute renaissance for Dragic since arriving in the bubble in Orlando. He’s become a closer for this Miami team, on offense and defense, in the fourth quarter of any close match.

As the Miami Heat look to make it a three-game lead on Saturday, watch for Goran Dragic to pick up right where he left off in the fourth quarter of Game 2. His return to All-Star form here in Orlando has made this team that much more dangerous, and fueled their playoff push.

The Miami Heat and Boston Celtics will resume their Eastern Conference Finals series on Saturday, with Game 3 scheduled for 8:30 pm EST. Coverage will be provided by ESPN.
