The Miami Heat need more from Bam Adebayo. That includes more shooting and more range.

Shoot more:

Yes I know that is a basic headline and sounds like the last one, but looking for his and actually taking the shots are a bit different, but again, follow me.

Let’s not act like it’s not true. Adebayo has good form, nice touch, and a nice midrange jumper but he needs to let it fly more. Adebayo showed us in the playoffs that he can hit the Chris Bosh jumper and real Miami fans will know what I mean by that.

It means when you don’t have anything going offensively and like Bosh was just there to always hit that mid-range jumper with the shot clock going down for the Big 3, Adebayo showed that he could be that in the playoffs. Plus, with Adebayo’s ability to put the ball on the floor, him taking his jumper more consistently should only unlock his game more.

That’s the difference we mean. It isn’t always to shoot when being aggressive, but that would definitely be preferable more often than not.

Expanding range:

Adebayo has the ability to make the 15-17 foot jumper as well, he just has to do it. I would also like him to work on his three-point range though because I have seen Adebayo’s pre-draft workout and he has the range to shoot and make them.

For him to fully unlock his game, he needs at least a halfway decent three-ball, especially from the corner and off the high pick & roll. If Adebayo could shoot a consistent three, then he would be darn near unguardable. As said, he has the form and touch, he just needs to do it in the actual games.
