The Miami Heat didn’t know what they had in Tyler Herro after drafting him way down at 13. They quickly found out though in the NBA Bubble.

Tyler Herro had quite the rookie year and postseason run for the Miami Heat, especially if you listen to the national media where Herro became a social media star overnight due to his postseason play. Oh yeah, how could we forget him beating his hometown team in the Milwaukee Bucks and what about game four in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Boston Celtics?

You know, the one where he scored 37 points? Yes, 37 points in the postseason as a rookie.

You also have to throw in a mention of that face he made after Miami beat the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 3 of the NBA Finals. It was so moving that someone even got it tattooed on their chest.

Yes, you read that right. Talk about loyalty and dedication.

But with Herro having a rookie season that no one could have expected, there will be more expectations and more that will be asked of him. We all know that he expects that from himself, but the Miami Heat and his teammates will expect more from him as well.

That is a fact. Especially after all he was able to put on display in the bubble.

If the Miami Heat have this much faith in a young player, then you know he has to be special. We say this because we are talking about a team in Miami that tends not to trust young players at all.

Not only did they show trust in Herro, but they showed a supreme level of such trust across some of the biggest minutes of the season. With that though, he must continue to get better in order that he may best help his team.

Here are the three areas where he can most improve this offseason.
