The Miami Heat’s Precious Achiuwa will have a strong mentor in Bam Adebayo.  Can they find the magic to co-exist in the paint for Miami though?

Even if it comes as a surprise, the Miami Heat landed their guy in the 2020 NBA Draft. They were high on Precious Achiuwa after having a private workout with him during the pre-draft process before night.

Now in preparations for the season, they have to figure out new rotations after losing Derrick Jones Jr and Jae Crowder to Free Agency. Precious Achiuwa should be apart of those plans.

There is a rotation that Coach Erik Spoelstra should definitely consider once the offseason dust settles and the new lineup experiments commence. It won’t be one utilized early on, that’s for sure, but it is an intriguing one that Miami can’t afford to let slip.

It’s a lineup with a frontcourt of Bam Adebayo and Precious Achiuwa. Imagine the defensive schemes that could entail.

Bam is 6’9’’ and combine that with Precious’s large 6’9’’ frame as well and you are looking at a defensive wall in the post. What Precious can learn from Bam is a mixture of what the modern NBA big should be able to do.

He already has a bit of it, but here’s a reminder in case you weren’t aware of what we are talking about. Versatility is the name of the game.
