The Miami Heat’s flamethrower, Duncan Robinson, is back!

The Miami Heat rely on Duncan Robinson’s shooting now and it was the same story during last season. Being one of the Miami Heat’s premier weapons, he was able to be that by shooting the ball with absurd efficiency for the volume of shots he was taking.

On over eight attempts per game last season, 8.3 to be specific, Duncan shot 44.6 percent from downtown. To make it simple, he hit half of all the three pointers he took and something like, say, four of them a game like clockwork.

While his overall numbers for this season, 40.6 percent on 8.5 attempts, look to be down and because they are, they don’t tell the whole story. He’s taking a slightly higher amount of shots, while again and as mentioned, there was the trade deadline stuff.

To stick with the point here, which is that perhaps he’s not back to last year’s form but better, take a look at his last seven games. These are also all of the game since the passing of the trade deadline.

Shocker? Not really.

In those games, he’s gone 34/62 from downtown on over 8.85 attempts per game. That’s a bonkers, 54.83 percent shooting, on what you may as well call… nine three point shots per contest for the Miami Heat!

The guy is good for about five threes a game, average, across his last seven. That’s better than he has ever been and hopefully he can continue to be that.

There’s good reason to believe he may can keep up too.
