The Miami Heat need ‘tough shot makers’ more than anything, at times, and Max Strus is that.

While the best kinds of offense are the easy buckets and looks, sometimes, they aren’t there. When they aren’t, you need tough shot creators and more importantly, tough shot makers.

Max Strus might not be the highest creator on the list, but he definitely comes in Top-Five when discussing tough shot makers. Though his shooting has been up and down over his last few appearances, because we have eyes and the numbers say he is shooting 34.1 percent on nearly four attempts per contest, you’d have to say that what he can do is well known and documented.

Strus makes shots. In fact and as we have all come to learn across this season, they aren’t just of the three-point variety either.

Strus has an underrated drive-game and isn’t too shabby on the fast break either. While he didn’t convert the above play (we still owe you one Will Barton), this play shows you what he’s all about and away from deep territory.

Though it was a hard and unnecessary foul on Strus, the fact that he went up to stuff it on Barton’s head says a lot about him and the way he plays the game. He isn’t just a one trick pony and that means a ton.
