The Miami Heat need another versatile big to pair with Bam Adebayo. Why not try for one that helped obliterate them in these past NBA Playoffs?

Bobby Portis was a menace against the Miami Heat. Let’s just put that out there.

He doesn’t always do the flashy stuff but he always helps his team and impacts the game, because he doesn’t always have to be doing the flashy stuff to make that impact. For some reason, he didn’t play a ton to close the Brooklyn series, but then there is also the fact of who coaches that team.

While that’s neither here nor there, he has had a massive impact for them all throughout the postseason and was instrumental in their most recent Game 5 win over Atlanta in the Eastern Conference Finals, a game they played without Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Throughout these playoffs and in just 18 minutes per contest, Crazy Eyes has averaged 9.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, almost an assist, and all on 48.5 percent shooting from the floor and 33.3 percent shooting from deep. While the three-ball average looks just that, average, don’t let that fool you because he can knock them down in the most back-breaking fashion, trust.

With the Miami Heat needing a guy who can do what he does and with his, seemingly, perfect fit alongside Bam Adebayo or as the standalone big, he should be on the radars of the Miami Heat decision makers.
