Miami Heat: 4 Lower-Tiered Free Agents To Target
The Miami Heat love veterans who can do a lot. This next guy should have been on the radar last offseason, as his price has only gone up, even if only slightly.
The Miami Heat love guys who have a lot of experience in the league, playing basketball generally, can do a lot, don’t mind falling into the mix of the team, and want to be apart of something greater than themselves.
Nicolas Batum
Was that a, seeming, description of Nick Batum or was it? This was a guy that should have been on their radars last offseason, as he was cheap, looking for a meaningful role after (being honest) stealing money in Charlotte, and likely, just wanting to enjoy his lifestyle, he would have been the next great proprietor of Culture.
Well, coming off of a long and meaningful run with the LA Clippers, Batum is, once again, free to choose where he lands. Though he may return to the Clippers, the Miami Heat should find out for themselves, personally.
At the very least, they should give his representation a call. Yes, the Miami Heat will be looking for impact guys in other fashions, but you also have to fill out the roster with experienced guys that can help you if you are looking to compete for titles.
The Miami Heat are that and so is Batum. That’s why he is the fourth guy here.
His numbers may not be the sexiest, but he can do everything. He can rebound, defend multiple positions, hit a shot, make plays, and a few more things on the floor.
The Miami Heat need guys and they will look to land one of the bigger names, assuredly. However, they will need to make other moves too and these are some of the guys they should be looking at there.
