Miami Heat Ideal Offseason Manifesto: Filling Out The Roster

The Miami Heat still have to fill out the roster, regardless of how they do it. Here’s a nice philosophy to take into all of that.

Filling Out the Roster

To fill out the roster, I have players like Max Strus to add an extra bit of a shooting touch. Too much shooting can never be a bad thing nowadays and Strus has the potential to be an elite shooter in the league.

Another player to fill out the roster would be K.Z. Okpala. Okpala will be entering his third season playing for the Heat and will hope to improve on his performances from the previous two campaigns.

He is a lengthy wing who could be a contributor for the Heat if he is able to take full advantage of his physical gifts. The next player would be Omer Yurtseven.

The Heat signed him for a reason and he looks like a legitimate three point threat for a big man. Lastly, is Udonis Haslem, of course.

If the Heat’s captain decides to come back for his 19th season season in the league, he will, most likely, not see much playing time but serve as the captain and motivator of this roster. The chances of all of this happening are obviously not that great.

However, with the offseason about to ramp up with the NBA Finals almost being over, I think it’s good to know what the roster could look like if every avenue were explored. Obviously, Pat Riley and Erik Spoelstra know much more than I do and will do what they think is best for the team… but it is always nice to dream.
