Miami Heat targets to poach from the Suns: Frank Kaminsky

Frank Kaminsky didn’t get a ton of playing time with the Phoenix Suns last year. That being said, he would be a solid big man option for the Miami Heat to target.

He’s not a great defender, but he makes up for it with the ability to stretch the floor. This is something the Miami Heat have sorely missed since Kelly Olynyk was traded.

Trevor Ariza wasn’t a terrible three-point shooter at the four, but he was nothing compared to Olynyk. Bringing in someone who could space the floor and play alongside Bam Adebayo at times would be ideal.

Last season, Kaminsky averaged 6.6 points, four rebounds, and 1.7 assists. He shot 47.1% from the field and 36.5% from three-point range.

Kaminsky could play some backup center minutes but also start at the four alongside Adebayo. He wouldn’t have to take on as big of a defensive burden with Adebayo next to him.

This floor spacing would help out Miami’s offense immensely. They struggled shooting the ball last season, so adding a big man that can stretch the floor would be ideal.

With DeAndre Ayton and Dario Saric taking up the majority of the big man minutes in Phoenix, the Miami Heat could probably lure Kaminsky away fairly easily. A contract of around $3-$5 million should do the trick.
