Miami Heat Team Options: Keeping Andre Iguodala Or Letting Him Walk?

This one is a bit simpler. They will probably let Andre Iguodala walk.

Andre Iguodala is still a capable contributor to any team looking to compete for a title and that stands for the Miami Heat. That has to be said, as what he does and gives a team, at this point, won’t always show up on the boxscore, but will always be noticeable to the team, coaches, and organization he’s with.

That’s cliché, but it’s also true. That stands for the Miami Heat too.

Here’s the thing about it all though. No team, also standing for the Miami Heat and especially them, can afford to pay Iggy the $15 million he’s slighted to earn.

Miami Opts-Out And If He’s Around After A Bit Of Maneuvering, They Bring Him Back For Fraction Of Figure

He won’t have a big enough role to warrant that and in most situations, the team will deem other things more viable to spend that kind of money or parts of that money on. The thing about the Miami Heat in this situation is that by the time it all gets sorted out and there’s a figure left to offer him, he might be snatched up.

Again, he can offer any team that’s looking to compete valuable assets, both on and off the floor. If he is still around after some dust is blown around and/or just wants to be back in Miami, they’ll surely have him at something around a third of that $15 million dollar figure… or less.

They should want him back, but they shouldn’t shoot themselves in the foot with another impact move for this one. That’s the science behind the thought process there.

These decisions are closer to the Miami Heat than they aren’t, at this point. Gears will surely start to turn in this area over the next few days, however, this is the way you can expect them to move.
