Proposed Tyler Herro trades the Miami Heat could do: Cleveland Cavaliers

Herro, Dragic, Iguodala for Sexton, Love, 2022 Second

This trade comes from Bleacher Report’s Dan Favale. A deal to the Cavaliers has been one of the most popular suggestions involving Tyler Herro this offseason.

Herro would be headed to Cleveland in exchange for Collin Sexton and Kevin Love. Goran Dragic and Andre Iguodala would be on the way out as well.

Everything about this trade is great. Not only do the Miami Heat add another, more established young star, but they also get a quality veteran in Love.

Sexton would fill the team’s need at point guard, while Love could start at power forward. He would space the floor beautifully next to Bam Adebayo.

While Herro has been great, Sexton has displayed real potential to be an All-Star one day. He put up All-Star caliber numbers just last season.

Realistically, the Heat only have to give up Herro and Dragic in this trade. Iguodala hasn’t done much for the team lately, and they are almost certainly going to decline his team option if he is not traded.

Meanwhile, the Cavaliers are hoping to trade Sexton and also trying to dump Love’s salary. Both players could come in and help the Miami Heat immediately.

The cherry on top is that the Miami Heat would get a second-round pick in the deal, too. They desperately need to stock back up on draft picks, so this would be a good start.
