Buy-low trade targets for the Miami Heat: Terrence Ross/Michael Carter-Williams

The Orlando Magic have entered a full rebuild. They traded away most of their core pieces last season and are committed to rebuilding around their young players.

Due to this, they could end up looking to trade some of the veterans on their roster. If they want to fully commit to their young core, they might as well trade away the rest of the older players on the team.

Two that immediately come to mind are Terrence Ross and Micahel Carter-Williams. Both are around 30 years old and could provide valuable minutes on a contending team.

Ross earned the nickname “The Human Torch” in recent years due to his ability to get hot and score in bunches. This would be a huge help to the Miami Heat.

As great as the Heat are, they could use some designated scorers on the roster. Ross would add wing depth while also being this type of player for them.

Then there’s Carter-Williams, the former Rookie of the Year. Though he’s not a great shooter, he provides help in other ways on the court.

The combo guard is a super scrappy defender who can help with playmaking a bit, too. He can knock down a three on occasion, but that’s just generally not his game.

If the Miami Heat got either player, it would simply be adding another quality veteran to the roster. 12Both would likely not cost them much to acquire, either.
