The Miami Heat enter this upcoming season with a rejuvenated feeling, hope, and most importantly, look to their roster. While the new additions are important, it’s also important to think about the players that have remained and how they can get better.

With that being said, that applies to the best player on the roster, to the least-talented man on the roster. As for the man that, likely, is the most talented, though Jimmy Butler is the best because he knows how to apply his as good as just about anyone outside of LeBron James, this guy has the most ability in combination with his unique physical profile.

That guy… would be Bam Adebayo. A supremely talented giant bundle of skills, Bam can be so much better than he actually has been for the Miami Heat.

That’s saying a ton though already. That’s because he’s already been really good to great for them, however, there is still another level he can achieve… or several.

Here’s how he can go about doing that. Here are three bold predictions for Bam Adebayo in the coming season.

Miami Heat: 3 Bold Predictions for Bam Adebayo – Attempts & Leading Scorer

The Miami Heat will go as far as Jimmy Butler, Kyle Lowry, and yes, Bam Adebayo can take them. Apart of that has to be Bam continuing to be able to further exert his own will on the offensive end.

That’s the genesis of these first two.

Bam Will Average, At Least, 15 Attempts Per Game

For a player of Bam’s ilk, it’s simply about getting the shots or attempts up. Some will fall and some won’t, but the theory is that if a player of his ability get enough up, the vast majority will fall or the vast majority of the outcomes will be good ones.

That’s the theory behind it, initially. There is also this though.

If teams know he is reluctant to take his looks, that impacts his ability to make plays for himself and his teammates, his teammates ability to shake loose for their looks, and then, his team’s overall ability to win. He has to take the looks and this season, I believe he will.

Be The Second Leading Scorer

Bam was the second leading scorer last season, so how is this a bold prediction? Well, they didn’t have Kyle Lowry in tow, Tyler Herro wasn’t coming off a year where he should have gotten all the motivation he needed, and Duncan Robinson wasn’t a near-$100 million dollar man.

Any of those guys could jump Bam with a great year, however, the one to be most concerned about is Kyle Lowry. All great problems to have, the thought is just that if Bam is really starting to progress to where he should be as a player and leader on this Miami Heat team, he’ll be the guy that averages the second -most amount of points… or dare I say, the leading scorer altogether.

Miami Heat: 3 Bold Predictions for Bam Adebayo – The NBA DPOY

Though ranked high throughout and at number three in the final NBA Defensive Player Of The Year Ladder rankings last season, Bam should still feel snubbed. Here’s why.

There is a world where Ben Simmons can be seen as a better defender than Bam. He’s just as big, just as athletic, just as fast, and just as strong.

Fair. He does, almost as much, for the Philadelphia 76ers as Bam does for Miami on that side of the ball.

The other guy though, he’s, simply, the best help-side defender known to man, that gets credit for everything. That’s neither here nor there, but it is about next season.

Bam Will Win The NBA DPOY Award

It will finally be Bam’s time. He has been a high competitor for the award for, at least, a season and should have been for, at least, two years now.

With the Miami Heat’s defensive lineups that they can throw out there next season, it should only enhance his standings there. Bam Adebayo is an elite defender in the NBA, a peak defender, and capable of guarding anybody on the court.

There is literally only two more guys like that in the league and one of them is still a bit loose with it, in Kevin Durant, but the other guy is Ben Simmons. That’s why he actually doesn’t get a ton of fuss if he’s ranked ahead of Bam, that just means Bam has to beat him.

In any light, Bam Adebayo should be able to crush each of these predictions, to be honest. Guess that makes them not so bold… huh?

Not so fast there either, as the thing about Bam has always been that he has all the talent and ability in the world, he just has to recognize it, and use it like that. If so, the Miami Heat’s chances are limitless and tackling these bold predictions would be a great way to help ensure those chances are maximized.
