The Miami Heat went into the offseason knowing that they needed to make moves. With a mindset, according to the moves they made, to be aggressive, they went out and did some very impactful things with their roster.

You could even say, that they were one of the winners of the offseason. With that though, what were some of their most personal wins as a organization?

That’s a great question. And as every great question deserves an answer, here were their three biggest wins of the offseason.

Taking P.J. Tucker From The Bucks

While getting P.J. Tucker, in itself, would have been an awesome move for Miami, there is something else about the roster move that’s really interesting and exciting for the Miami Heat. They were able to hurt a key foe in the process.

Coming over from the current world champions, the Miami Heat found a way to take a key defender and toughness guy from a team that’s directly in their way for a title. He’s also one of the main guys, that whichever team he’s playing on, uses him to bother Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, and the Miami Heat whenever they face-off.

That won’t be the case this season though, as he’s suiting up in South Beach for his home games. That’s their first biggest win of the offseason.

Miami Heat: 3 Biggest Wins Of Their Offseason – Signing Kyle Lowry

This next one is pretty obvious. It was a done deal, it seems, before it was a done deal and that helps illustrate the magnitude and importance of the get.

Signing Kyle Lowry

The Miami Heat needed a three-level scorer in the worst way. They also could stand to add a point guard as the offseason approached, with Jimmy Butler having to do way too much coming down the stretch for the Miami Heat last season.

Though that was something that should have been evident after the NBA Bubble, better late than never is the way the old adage goes. With that in mind though, the Miami Heat now, not only, have that other scorer in Kyle Lowry, but that solidified third guy, and a three level guy, as mentioned, someone capable of scoring at the bucket, from range, and in the middle.

With him, that should help to quell those moments in the game where the Miami Heat just can’t seem to buy a bucket. While it can manifest itself in many ways, it most often looks like this for the Heat.

There will be a 15-2 run and the Miami Heat will be on the wrong side of it. Then there is those times where they need a bucket to help stop that run, perhaps to slow the momentum of a comeback, or to close out a game… and they can’t hit the broadside of a barn.

Kyle Lowry, in himself, will go a long way towards answering those questions. At the very least, he’ll be another option that allows the rest of the options to see their percentage chances of converting in those moments go up.

Miami Heat: 3 Biggest Wins Of Their Offseason – Keeping Tyler Herro

The Miami Heat found themselves in a ton of trade rumors at the onset of the offseason. Thankfully, not a ton of what was being passed around was true… or ended up being that way, anyways.

Keeping Tyler Herro

That’s where their last biggest offseason win resides. When the case of Tyler Herro is the question, the Miami Heat might’ve had deals on the table, however, keeping him was huge for them.

Colossal even. He has a chance to not only be one of the premier bench players in the league this season, but also one of the best scorers if he has his head back on straight.

Last season seemed to see things get to him a bit more than you would like to see, but as the season progressed and throughout this offseason, you’ve seen and heard the right things from him. The first step to being the part is looking the part and he’s certainly trying, it seems.

The Miami Heat won’t have any shortage of scoring options this season, at least not like they have in the past. If Tyler Herro can continue his trajectory, he should be a huge part of that.

In an offseason full of victories for the Miami Heat it was hard to pick the top three. However, these were their three biggest wins of the offseason.
