Miami Heat: 3 Conditions To Secure NBA Playoff Home-Court Advantage – Winning Winnables & Finishing Strong
Just like the tough looks on their schedule, the Miami Heat have a few cupcake stretches as well.
Win the Winnables and Finish Strong
If you take a look at the schedule from December to April, as a whole and outside of the aformentioned March stretch, the entirety of the schedule doesn’t seem that brutal. The Miami Heat should win 11 or 12 of their 16 games in December.
They should win nine or 10 of their 15 games in January. They should win seven of their 10 February games.
While March should see them win 10-12 of their 15 games in that month, while April is a completely sweepable five-game closing month. The point is this.
There are a ton of winnable games on the schedule and a ton of potentially massively successful months on the schedule. Yes, there are a few trap games and slugfests spritzed throughout, but the Miami Heat have a chance to put up a really good number as a final tally on wins.
If they can be sure to win the games that they are supposed to win and close out with a strong March/April showing, they should be well on their way to securing home-court for the postseason. The Miami Heat have all the talent in the world and the fortune of a manageable schedule too.
If they can accomplish all three of these goals above, meeting all of the set conditions, they should have no problem playing a ton of playoff games in Miami. Winning postseason games becomes much easier at home, in theory and after all, that is the goal of it all.
