The last pick in the first round goes to former Miami Heat center Precious Achiuwa. The Grizzlies lose out on Desmond Bane, but they get a solid backup center instead.

Achiuwa didn’t get a ton of playing time with the Miami Heat his rookie season. With Bam Adebayo and eventually Dewayne Dedmon ahead of him in the depth chart, the Miami Heat had little need for him.

He ended up being a part of the sign-and-trade for Kyle Lowry, but he still has a ton of potential. Achiuwa is a super raw prospect, but given the right opportunities, he could develop into a great player.

Memphis could have used him as their primary backup center. The Grizzlies’ young squad played with a ton of hustle and a ton of heat last year, and Achiuwa does both of those things well.

The center would get to play NBA basketball in the same city he went to college in. Achiuwa drops 10 spots in this re-draft, and the Grizzlies get a big man instead of Bane.

What did you think of this re-draft of the 2020 NBA Draft? Who did your favorite team pick up? What would you have done differently?
