The Phoenix Suns stick with their original selection in this re-draft. They take Cameron Johnson with the eleventh overall pick, just like they did in real life.
At the time, a lot of people questioned the Suns’ selection of Johnson this high in the draft. He was by far the oldest rookie in his class, and he’s actually even older than Devin Booker.
However, Johnson’s impact in Phoenix has been undeniable up to this point. He really emerged as a big-time contributor this past season when the Suns made a run to the NBA Finals.
In the playoffs, Johnson was an absolute torch from three-point range, shooting 44.6% from deep. The Suns needed his defense and shooting last season and will continue to need it moving forward.
In this draft, the Suns clearly wanted to pick up a relatively experienced player. Keeping with that theme, they take the same exact player, Cameron Johnson, in this re-draft.
