The Miami Heat, just like most of the rest of the NBA, held their annual Media Day on Monday. There were a ton of revelations, statements, and newsworthy moments to see, hear, and take in.

That included statements and revelations from guys like Victor Oladipo, exploits and follies from guys like Jimmy Butler, and a very interesting photo from the Heat’s new Big 3.

What a visual from the Miami Heat’s new core. It could remind one of many things.

Whether you get Charlie’s Angles or Martin Lawrence and Will Smith’s Bad Boys film series (based in and around the City of Miami), it’s a visual that works and that’s especially if the product on the court works, which is all that matters.

Speaking of “all that matters” though, there was another interesting statement made by one of the members of the new main trio. That guy would be Bam Adebayo.

Not only does it show an awareness that you love to see from one of your main guys, but also the fortitude to embrace things that need to be shown attention and to work on them. But is that shocking?

Miami Heat: Bam Adebayo Vows To Be More Aggressive & ‘Assertive’ This Year

That’s actually not a huge surprise, nor a “shocker”, as doing the work has never been an issue for Bam and a huge part of what makes him who and what he is as a player.

He’s still growing more too though.

That’s a lot of what his words meant too on the Miami Heat Media Day and here they are, per Five Reasons Sports.

Well, the man said it. That’s exactly what you wanted him to focus on, to definitely improve upon, and to say that he was working on… as that shows initiative and ownership of it all.

Bam does everything well on the court. He can guard anybody on the floor.

He can handle the ball, he can pass the ball, and he’s a great athlete. He has all the tools and really, to be quite honest, very few weaknesses… if anything can truly be called that.

The guy is already a beast. He can become even more of one by, simply, shooting his shots.

Miami Heat: Bam Adebayo Needs To Take His Shots… He Just Has To

For the umpteenth time, you miss all of the shots you don’t shoot. For a guy as good as Bam is and in a make or miss league, he has to take the attempts.

Something good is bound to happen off of whatever he does, as he’s just that good, smart, and hard-working of a player. That’s the way that these things tend to shake out.

Just look at his teammates if you need examples and a few of them. P.J. Tucker, Kyle Lowry, and Jimmy Butler are all examples of guys who just play the game the right way, have excelled, and been high-level players because of it.

Bam definitely seems to, now, get it too. Hopefully, it’s apparent from the very first tip and throughout the entirety of the season… on a game-in and game-out basis.

A truly aggressive Bam makes them sure-contenders, certainly. And who knows, that guy… might also be an MVP candidate?

Perhaps? It could happen.
