Miami Heat: Will They Have Any 2022 NBA All-Stars?
The best case for a Heat All-Star has to rest with Butler. He is currently 22nd in points per game and is tied for the league lead in steals per game.
He is also shooting over 50 percent from the field and 84 percent from the free-throw line. All of these stats pass the eye test, while the only reason Butler would not make his sixth All-Star team would be if injuries flare back up to cause significantly more missed time.
Lowry probably has the next highest odds of making the All-Star team. He stands in sixth place on the assists leaderboard and has also led the Miami Heat to the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference.
You phrase it that way because he has done a ton of it in the absence of Butler and Bam Adebayo. For his leadership and point guard prowess alone, Lowry has a chance to make it to the February festivities.
