The Miami Heat are one of the best teams in the NBA and the very best team in the NBA’s Eastern Conference right now. However, that doesn’t mean that they shouldn’t strive to get better.

Though, while a backup power forward has been all the rage recently, with P.J. Tucker‘s scare in a recent game against New Orleans being evidence to such a case, that may not actually be able to come to fruition.

It just might not be a guy out there or at least, one worth bringing in.

If that isn’t a real possibility though, then why not bring back a guy that not only knows your system, is not only capable of hitting a big shot, is not only a fan favorite, but will also add all sorts of good energy, chemistry, and juju to this current bunch of Miami Heat warriors?

Yes, this is a Goran Dragic piece.

Miami Heat Rumors: Goran Dragic A Hot Commodity On The Market

However, a wrench may be thrown in that plan too. The reporting seems to indicate that he’s drawing a ton of interest from around the league after reports of his buyout from San Antonio.

Here is the latest, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

"The San Antonio Spurs and Goran Dragic are expected to negotiate a contract buyout in the coming week, clearing the way for a formidable list of free-agent suitors for Dragic that now includes the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors, sources told ESPN. The Lakers and Warriors are planning to join several rivals, including the LA Clippers, Milwaukee Bucks, Chicago Bulls and Brooklyn Nets, in aggressive pursuit of Dragic, sources said."
"Dragic is emerging as the top player on the buyout market, with contending teams confident that he has stayed in excellent condition while working out in South Florida and can contribute in short order on a new team."

What do you make of all of this? It would be tough to have to face a guy that has meant so much to Miami Heat basketball and the Miami Heat faithful.

That goes double for a guy that has endeared himself to the region and the franchise as much as Goran has.

Miami Heat: Hopefully, Goran Dragic Comes Back Or Not With Direct Opposition, At Least

This has been reported by several sources and seems to be entirely true, however, things still have to shake out. Being a fixture in Miami and even while he was still employed by the Toronto Raptors, The Dragon has let his face be shown in the Miami Heat‘s building during games a couple of times in the past several weeks.

The most recent one was Saturday night when the Miami Heat faced the Brooklyn Nets. The question though is who he was there for? Surely, he was throwing all of his support to his friends, the Miami Heat.

But was he checking out his future team on the other side? To be quite frank, hopefully, it isn’t someone that the Miami Heat will have to play on their destination to a title.

Well, the ultimate hope is that he’ll find his way back to South Beach. Yea, that would be perfect.

Goran looks like he’ll land firmly on his feet though, either way it goes. That’s the most important thing here.
