The Miami Heat may add talent this offseason, one way or another, but a focus must be put on keeping their own. That applies to the next guy as much as any other.

You have to be happy for Victor Oladipo, who has long been dealing with injuries and the most recent of which cut his season short in the season before last with Miami. Oladipo only played in eight regular-season games this past season after recovering from that injury, but then made an impact during the playoffs.

He flashed some of his old potential during the playoff run and especially defensively. Oladipo played at a high level on that side and you can go ask Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics about that.

Offensively, he pounded the ball a little too much at times, while he’s always been a streaky shooter throughout his career.  Moving forward and with the hope to bring him back, Oladipo could have a couple of roles on Miami depending on how the rest of the roster fills out.
