Miami Heat: Tyler Herro Is “Clapping Back”, But Mainly Motivating Himself

Rich’s Take (@followthepen)

Herro’s “keep that same energy” tweet feels two-fold. To the fans, it means “do not double back now when you have been trading me all offseason”.

To the Miami Heat organization, it means “pay me with the same aggression that you tried to move me with”. Either way, it is yet another nod to his pinned tweet above this one, at the moment, along his Twitter feed.

“Shoutout to everyone doubting me”—even if that isn’t true and nobody is doubting him at all. It’s just business.

My Take

In agreeance with everything that has been said. Yes, it is a callback to the fans, pundits, and others that have been trading him all offseason, while it probably is also a little nudge to the organization about their perceived (key word perceived) loyalty and his pending extension.

Lastly and most importantly, as Herro has shown us all since he hopped on the national scene at Kentucky, he uses all of this stuff to motivate him. And a motivated Herro has, more often than not, been a dangerous one.

Next. Only a minimal difference in Tyler Herro and Donovan Mitchell. dark

Whatever it takes are the sentiments there. And with that, I expect a big year from Boy Wonder
