The Miami Heat got a much-needed win over the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night. On the back of a pair of defeats to those same Warriors and the team they have coming in on Thursday evening, the Sacramento Kings, they’ll look to begin November in the exact opposite fashion as they closed the month of October.
But back to October for a minute and in fact, immediately after their defeat to the Kings in Sacramento, Jimmy Butler had thoughts about the Miami Heat, their season, and their prospects on the season—even with the troubling start.

So, here’s the thing.
Winning a title in any professional sports league is tough, so you take that with the chances of doing it, in a normal situation, into consideration.
What is important here though about Jimmy Butler’s “proclamation” though is that he still has supreme belief in this team. He still believes that they have the ability to put themselves in a position of contention.
He still has the belief that they have just as good a shot as any other team in the Eastern Conference or the entire league to win a title. And you know what?
Jimmy Butler isn’t all that crazy to believe what he believes. Here’s why.

Miami Heat’s Warriors Win A Testament To Jimmy Butler’s Proclamation
Now, again, you take into account the chances that any one team has to win a title after going through the gauntlet of a season and the playoffs anyway but with all things being equal, for lack of better terms or phrases, he, again, has a point.
And their most recent win against Golden State is a piece of evidence for that case.
The Warriors aren’t dominant right now, coming into the game in a very similar position as the Miami Heat, one of last season’s final teams that haven’t quite found their groove yet for some reason or another in the new season.
That’s a fair sentiment.
However, they did just run away from the Heat in the final moments of a game recently, as mentioned, though the Heat fought as hard as you could want a team to in that one. It’s not about what the Heat did or who they did it to in the most recent win though, as much as how they did it.
It was a classic Heat showing if there ever were one. Let’s chat about it.

The Miami Heat Got A Win Tuesday Playing Their Brand Of Ball For One Another
They came out appearing as if they would let things go downhill quickly, with poor energy and a lackadaisical seeming effort.
Then, as the Heat often do, the reserve unit helped inject life into the game. Then, the rest of the team joined in, playing with energy, effort, and hustle on both sides of the ball.
The Miami Heat players had energy and pop, but so did the basketball. They were forcing bad plays on defense and sharing it on the other side.
They made shots and found ways to make big plays to win the game. That’s Miami Heat basketball!
First, the ball and man movement must be a huge part of the sauce but then for a team that has relied on outside shooting as they have over the past few seasons, getting that is a must as well. At least the attempts or looks to put the threat in the defense’s head, which allows for space for guys like Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler to punish the paint and rim.
They must play good defense to force the other team into mistakes, create easy offense for themselves at times, and most importantly, keep points off the board for the other team. And lastly, all of this must occur in a fashion where they are clearly playing together and for one another.
That was the case in their most recent win on Tuesday, that is the formula for Miami Heat success, always has been, and that is why you can’t call Jimmy Butler crazy for what he believes. Time and time again, the Miami Heat figure it out and rise off the mat like the legendary pro wrestler, The Undertaker, in pay-per-view events.
It’s just what they do, what you suspect they’ll do here, and why they should only they continue to improve from here.
