If the Miami Heat Are Serious About A Move, They Have To Consider Bogdanović

According to recent reports on the subject, the Pistons are, in fact, open to moving the combustible scorer. However, they won’t just look to move him for anything.

When it comes to specifics, Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report had this to say recently.

"Detroit acquired veteran shooter Bojan Bogdanović from the Utah Jazz over the summer for a relatively low price (Kelly Olynyk and Saben Lee). After giving him a franchise-friendly extension (two years, $39 million with $22 million guaranteed) and a successful showcase, the Pistons should be able to cash out on Bogdanović for a profit. While the team’s front office has been downplaying that it will move Bogdanović, well-placed sources say the Pistons will patiently wait for an offer with a suitable first-round pick. Teams believed to be interested include the Atlanta Hawks, Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Lakers, among others."

Though the Miami Heat aren’t a team specifically mentioned there, you can never count them out with the guys that they have pulling the levers behind the scene. The only questions you have are if the Miami Heat can conjure up the compensation to land Bogdanovic, the guys to send back, and the financial space to accept his salary among all of that if they do find themselves in the mix.

While this isn’t a “yes” vote on the matter, this is one of those that you must seriously consider. He can play the four for you, hit the three, and be highly productive as an overall offensive player.

The deal is something to ponder with the financial obligation tied to it, but it might still be a steal in this current market.
