The 2015 NBA Draft seems light years away, as does the 2014-15 NBA season. However, it is never to early to breakdown who the Heat should have their eye on in this upcoming draft.
The Heat have done a sub-par job of drafting the past decade, albeit the selection of Dwyane Wade. The Heat have missed out on marquee players like Kevin Love, Russell Westbrook, Brook Lopez, and David Lee. Although hindsight is 20/20, the Heat have struck out on most of their selections.
The Heat do not own a first round pick for the 2015 NBA Draft, due to the LeBron James sign-and-trade from 2010. So, yes, Cleveland owns the Heat’s first round pick, which will eventually be traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Kevin Love. Ironic, right?
