Many people are jumping on the Milwaukee Bucks bandwagon, but I’m not buying them just yet. Many people think the reason the Bucks succeeded last year was due to the coaching of Jason Kidd, and the team’s growing offense, but in reality, this team was carried by their defense. According to ESPN’s Hollinger stats, the Bucks ranked second in the league in Defensive Efficiency, only behind the Warriors.

And now with the additions of a Greg Monroe and a healthy Jabari Parker, the Bucks offense is sure to improve, but their defense will most likely decline. Neither Parker nor Monroe are known for their defense. When was the last time a defensively inept front court went far into the playoffs? I can’t think of one.
