2. Shaquille O’Neal

If we were talking best centers ever, O’Neal may be first on my list, but when it comes to strictly Heat centers, I had to give him the silver medal. O’Neal only spent four years in Miami, but 2006 is a year Heat fans will never forget.

As underdogs, a team led by O’Neal and Wade surprised the world and beat the Dallas Mavericks to take home the first NBA title in franchise history.

During O’Neal’s heat tenure, he averaged 19.6 points, 9.1 rebounds, 1.9 blocks per game and recorded a 23.9 player efficiency rating. Obviously, O’Neal will go down in history as a Los Angeles Laker, but Heat Nation will never forget what he brought to this city. Let the record show, he was the first superstar to bring his talents to South Beach and deliver an NBA title.
