1. Dwyane Wade

We’ll try to keep this short and sweet, because Dwyane would want it that way.

Wade isn’t going anywhere, barring a miraculous change of heart. He’s said countless times he is a Heat Lifer, and has already put to rest any rumors of possibly wanting to go elsewhere.

The only question marks are the numbers that will be written behind the dollar sign and the year amount on this deal. Riley very well may sign Wade to another one-year deal in hopes of acquiring a big name free agent in the summer of 2017.

Either way you put it, Miami is Wade County. No other name is synonymous with the city like Dwyane’s is. He propelled the Heat to its first championship in 2006, and was the vital reason LeBron James and Chris Bosh decided to take their talents to South Beach in 2010.

Simply put, he’s not going anywhere.

Prediction: Wade signs a one year, high dollar deal again.

Conclusion

It’s definitely plausible I could be wrong on these. It’s also possible I could be right. That’s the beauty of free agency and the NBA offseason, anything can happen. Nobody thought LeBron would return to Cleveland after the way owner Dan Gilbert ripped him in a public letter to the fans. Nobody thought the idea of James/Wade/Bosh being on one team could ever happen.

The big domino in this equation is Durant and, to a lesser extent, LeBron. Once those two fall in place, everything will work itself out. One thing is for sure, you can expect to see a different Miami Heat team next season.

Just how different? We’ll have to wait and find out.
