5. Tyler Johnson

Another athletic, electric wing with a reliable stroke from outside, Tyler Johnson burst onto the NBA scene in a big way in 2015, with multiple games of 20-plus points to help keep the Heat alive in a playoff race they would eventually fall out of.

Johnson did not stop there. He continued where his rookie season left off this past season, making a tremendous impact off the bench while pushing the pace and working relentlessly on defense. Miami lost Johnson for the second half of the regular season due to shoulder surgery, but he did make it back in time for the playoffs, returning midway through the Hornets series in the first round.

For the season, Johnson averaged 8.7 points on 48 percent shooting, 38 percent from downtown.

With Johnson still on a rookie deal, it’s definitely tough to see Pat Riley let a young player with so much potential go. He’s a restricted free agent and no matter what the Heat pay him, he’ll count just about $1.2 million against the cap.

Prediction: Johnson re-signs with the Heat.
