More Aggressive Offense

During the summer league last year, Winslow was credited with his ability to inside the paint and draw fouls on opponents. He had the ability to draw contact and get to the free throw line, which helped erase some of the effects of his shooting struggles.

Once the season started however, Winslow would still drive hard to the hoop, but would often settle for three’s which he struggled to knock down. With his ability to drive and create contact, it would have been preferable to see Winslow do a pump-fake, put the ball on the court, and drive to find contact to get to the line.

This would have taken a lot of pressure off Dwyane Wade and Goran Dragic on the offensive end to always initiate the offense and find open teammates.

In fact, when Winslow was driving towards the hoop at Duke, that’s when he excelled the most at Duke and had his best stretches in the NBA.

Winslow has the speed, the strength, and the talent to get in the lane at will. He could negate some of his shooting struggles by being more aggressive and getting sent to the free throw line more often.
