Opening Night Show vs Wizards, 2014-15
Stat Line: 26 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists, 9-for-18 from the floor
Fans in South Florida will remember the 2014-15 season as one defined by mediocrity, and rightfully so. Conversely, the same 82-game campaign offered some memorable moments for both Bosh and Wade.
Still feeling the sting of James’s recent departure, Bosh was able to calm the nerves of many with his 26 point, 15 rebound performance on opening night against the up-and-coming Wizards certainly put to rest some worry for the time being. While the Heat would go on to miss the postseason and lose Bosh to the same blood clot ailment that’s tugging at his jersey today, there’s no doubt that the man previously known as “CB4” left a lasting legacy for all sports fans to appreciate.
He did it with class, graciousness and a posture that nobody else can match. Thank you, Mr. Bosh. I’ll always be grateful.
