5 under-the-radar players the Miami Heat could target at the NBA trade deadline

5. Denver Nuggets SF/PF Danilo Gallinari
The Denver Nuggets have already been active this trade season. On Feb. 12, they moved Jusuf Nurkic and a late first round pick for Mason Plumlee and a second round pick from the Portland Trailblazers.
According to Basketball Insiders, the Nuggets are interested in making a few more deals, too. Steven Kyler’s report states that Danilo Gallinari is one of the players still available for trade.
Gallinari and the Heat could be an interesting fit. He can play either forward position, and would space the floor beautifully next to Hassan Whiteside. Gallinari is shooting 38 percent from three this season, 89 percent from the foul line, while averaging 17.2 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists. He’s just 28 years old.
It’s also important that after this season, there’s just one year left on his contract. If, for whatever reason, the trade didn’t work out for Miami, Gallinari would be an enticing trade chip this time next year.
For a deal to be possible, the Heat would need to package at least one of their young players. Maybe an offer that included McRoberts, Ellington and either Richardson or McGruder would get the ball rolling.
Next: Is the Heat's 3-point hot shooting a fluke?
This deal, or any other for that matter, isn’t all that likely. But with the dispatches from local sports media continuing to trickle out, you can be sure Riley has something up his sleeve. He almost always does.
