Embodying Miami Heat Culture

There is nothing the Miami Heat value more than effort. A player who will sacrifice everything both on and off the court in the name of winning. Collins appears to be cut from that cloth especially when you watch him rebound.

He attacks the ball with relentless pressure, not only establishing inside position but also tracking the ball. The Ringer’s draft prospectus on Collins accurately explains that Collins plays with immense effort and combines that with being a fluid athlete. The Heat can take both of those qualities and turn him into a bonafide NBA player.

There’s no doubt that Collins still has work to do, he has readily admitted that, and that’s half the battle with incoming rookies. He’ll want to get to work immediately and that type of maturity and drive is exactly what the Miami Heat should be looking for in this year’s draft.
