1. LeBron James
This might be a tough one for some Heat fans but the reality is LeBron still runs this league.
Regardless of the happenings in Golden State, the NBA still orbits around LeBron and with him seemingly positioning his chips for another exit from Cleveland, the Heat would be foolish not to gauge his interest in a return.
While some rumors already have LeBron eyeing a move to Los Angeles, going West to be closer to the Warriors and in a conference that has drastically improved makes little sense. LeBron’s best chance to win is staying in the East in a location that can easily attract top-level free agents.
If the Heat land Irving in the next month that could change things but, as they stand now, welcoming LeBron back to the fold would be in the best interest of everyone. If Irving is traded away, LeBron doesn’t have much reason to stay.
Much like LeBron’s first departure from Cleveland, he’s currently starving for a championship and desperately seeking a way to topple the empire in Oakland.
Riley also wants another ring before he rides off into the sunset, so why not let bygones be bygones and reunite for another run at a title?
